The Function Of Motorcycle Fuel Injector
The most sophisticated part of a gasoline direct injection engine -- Motorcycle Fuel Injector
As one of the key components of an electronic fuel injection engine, the performance of the engine will be seriously affected by the injector nozzle. The blockage of the injector nozzle will seriously affect the performance of the motorcycle. The reason for the blockage is that the carbon deposits in the engine are deposited on the injector nozzle or the impurities in the fuel block the injector nozzle passage. After the motorcycle has been running for a period of time, a certain amount of sediment will form in the fuel system. The formation of sediments is directly related to the fuel of the motorcycle:
First, because the gasoline itself contains colloids and impurities, or dust and impurities brought in during storage and transportation, sludge-like sediments are formed in the motorcycle tank, fuel inlet pipe and other parts over time; secondly, the unstable components in the gasoline react at a certain temperature to form colloid and resin-like viscous substances. These viscous substances are in the injector nozzle, intake valve and other parts. When burned, the deposits will become hard carbon deposits.
In addition, due to urban traffic congestion, motorcycles are often in low speed and idling state, which will aggravate the formation and accumulation of these deposits. Fuel system deposits are very harmful. Sediments will clog the needle valve and valve hole of the fuel injector, affect the working performance of the precision parts of the electronic injection system, and lead to a decrease in power performance; Sediments will form carbon deposits on the intake valve, causing it to close loosely, resulting in unstable engine idle speed, increased fuel consumption and worse exhaust emissions; Sediments will form hard carbon deposits on the piston top and cylinder head. Due to the high heat capacity and poor thermal conductivity of carbon deposits, it is easy to cause engine knock and other faults; In addition, it will shorten the life of the three-way catalytic converter. The working quality of the fuel injector plays a fundamental role in the power of each engine. Due to poor fuel, the fuel injector does not work properly, causing serious carbon deposits in the cylinder; the cylinder barrel and piston ring wear faster, causing unstable idle speed, increased fuel consumption, weak acceleration, difficult starting and excessive emissions. In severe cases, the fuel injector will be completely blocked and the engine will be damaged.
Therefore, the fuel injector should be cleaned regularly. Long-term non-cleaning or frequent cleaning of the nozzle will have a bad effect. As for the time of cleaning, it should be determined according to the condition of the vehicle and the quality of the fuel added at ordinary times. Generally speaking, most users are now recommended to clean it around 20,000 to 30,000 km. If the vehicle is in good condition and the fuel quality is good, the life span can be extended to about 40,000 to 60,000 km. When the fuel injector is slightly clogged, it will also have a certain impact on the vehicle condition. Sometimes such a fault will occur: when the vehicle is in the first gear and starts, the vehicle will shake a little. When the vehicle is in a high gear and accelerates, this phenomenon disappears. Assuming that the various sensors on the vehicle are working properly, the throttle valve has been cleaned, and the circuit is normal, it is likely that the fuel injector is slightly clogged. However, when accelerating in a high gear, it is possible that the slight colloid is sprayed away (dissolved) again, and the performance of the vehicle is restored. In the case of such slight blockage of the fuel injector, it is generally not necessary to clean it. Because the slight colloid can be dissolved. Therefore, in daily driving, you should often run on the highway to reduce the possibility of carbon deposits. When the gasoline quality is poor or the vehicle has been driving for a long time, if the fuel injector is not cleaned for a long time, this blockage phenomenon will be more serious, causing the engine to spray poorly, the injection angle and atomization are poor, resulting in poor operation of the engine at idle speed, acceleration or full load conditions, resulting in a decrease in engine power, an increase in fuel consumption, an increase in emission pollution, and even the inability of the engine to work. Therefore, the fuel injectors should be cleaned and inspected regularly to ensure they are working properly.
